Andrea W. Cooper is a seasoned practitioner who has worked extensively in the public and private sectors. She served a total of 12 years as an Assistant District Attorney for Tarrant County and an Assistant Chief Counsel for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (formerly INS), before leaving the government to pursue private practice in 2005.
By way of background, Ms. Cooper graduated with honors from the University of Texas at Austin in 1987 with a Journalism degree, and received her Juris Doctor in 1992 from Cornell University School of Law in Ithaca, New York. She has been admitted to the State Bar of Texas since 1992, and is also licensed to practice in federal court.
Ms. Cooper's extensive litigation experience includes more than 500 trials in criminal and immigration courts. As a Trial Attorney for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, she represented the government in hundreds of deportation cases in Immigration Courts in Texas, Oklahoma and California, and prosecuted cases against employers who were charged with hiring illegal workers. She received special recognition for her trial advocacy skills and her winning track record. Ms. Cooper also provided legal expertise on questions related to visa applications to federal agents of the Bureau of Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), and she advised federal agents for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) on deportation and detention issues.
Ms. Cooper’s legal experience also includes six years as a prosecutor for the Tarrant County District Attorney's Office, where she conducted misdemeanor and felony jury trials on crimes ranging from DWI to capital murder, as well as Grand Jury and Juvenile Court proceedings. Her winning track record includes the simultaneous jury trial of 28 criminal defendants.
Since leaving the government, Ms. Cooper has helped hundreds of clients to obtain U.S. Citizenship, Green Cards, and Work Visas. She has also successfully defended numerous clients against deportation in immigration court, and has represented clients in Divorce, Adoption and Custody-related matters in Family Court. She is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, Tarrant County Bar Association, and Dallas Bar Association.

Veronica is a former elementary educator of Anna & Sherman ISD for 11 years. Graduate of the University of North Texas in Elementary Education and Learning Technology studies.

Michele McDonald is a mother and grandmother. Michele’s professional background is in human resources management, social services, business management, and office administration. Educationally, Michele has a Bachelor of Science degree in business marketing from the University of West Florida.
Michele realizes that there are many variables determining one’s likelihood for success, from intelligence, to physical health, to good looks, to parents’ economic status, to connections, mental health, to race, to gender, to geographical area, to factors of upbringing, to the quality and motivations of our mentors, etc.
Many members of our society did not begin with or do not currently have positive and nurturing variables required for life success.
The reason that Michele is involved with the Thou Art My Sister Ministry: A wish to support, in any way she can, the thoughtful and loving outreach to those among us who need those positive variables and nurturing. She has witnessed how love and support can heal broken souls and bodies; therefore, she believes we all should contribute our gifts to help our sisters lessen their burdens and realize their potential.
Tiffany is a Dallas native and graduate of Texas A&M University Commerce, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree and was initiated into Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
Tiffany is currently part of the business staff at The Antioch Church in Dallas, TX.
Her career has also included Child Development, Human Resources and Independent Film.
She now resides in Red Oak, TX with her husband of 21 years and their 3 beautiful children.
Native Texan, Jewel Shelton, is a Business School graduate of Southern Methodist University and attended Spelman College in Atlanta. She has over 25 years in Sales and Marketing. She has worked in Banking, Commercial Real Estate and Multi Family Housing. She presently works as Realtor with eXp Realty. Her passion is helping families find a new place to call home.
She is the proud parent of three sons and a daughter. Her hobbies include Cooking, Traveling, and Reading. She is the Author of the novel, “Tribulations of the Heart”.
